Trainer Introduction

Train harder

A Dallas native and proud alum of Jesuit College Preparatory of Dallas, Edgar Cruz combines his local roots with a deep commitment to fitness and wellness. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago and spending over a decade in the nonprofit sector, Edgar transitioned into the fitness industry, merging his passion for social impact with a dedication to community health.

His training philosophy revolves around goals-based training. Whether your objective is weight loss, building muscle, getting stronger, improving longevity, or following a doctor’s orders, Edgar’s personalized programs are designed to center your specific goals. He recognizes that fitness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and every journey is unique—whether you’re looking to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, enhance your health as you age, or believe it’s “too late” to start training.

For athletes, Edgar also develops sport-specific plans to elevate performance. Setting goals can be daunting, but Edgar can guide you in the process or, if you’ve already identified them, help you focus on execution. His approach includes reframing traditional ideas about fitness, introducing a new mindset that makes starting, sticking with, and evolving your goals feel achievable and rewarding as they change over time.

Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) with a Senior Fitness Specialization, Edgar offers bilingual services in both English and Spanish, ensuring inclusivity for diverse clients. In addition to one-on-one personal training, Edgar has taught group fitness classes, including HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, and Total Body Workout sessions, emphasizing his dynamic and comprehensive approach to fitness.
